Framework 7 call for proposals relevant to regenerative medicine

The UKNSCN would like to highlight to its members the funding opportunities currently available through the European Seventh Framework Programme (FP7). Framework 7 runs from 2007-2013 and has a total of €6.1 billion allocated to the ‘Health’ theme, as a proportion of the total €32.4 billion budget for the duration of FP7. The health theme call for proposals may be of relevance to the regenerative medicine community, and two new calls for proposals have recently been announced, FP7-HEALTH-2010-single-stage, which closes on 10 November 2010, with a budget of €160.5 million, and FP7-HEALTH-2011-two-stage, which closes on 13 October 2010 and has a budget of €498 million. The two-stage call requires applicants to submit an initial proposal, of which a selection are invited to make a full proposal.
FP7-HEALTH-2010-single-stage and FP7-HEALTH-2011-two-stage include calls for a range of research and clinical trials projects concerning regenerative medicine, the link between development and aging, neurodegenerative diseases and cancer. lease see the associated pdf for further details.
