The Future Health Mission 11 Competition

If you have any funding opportunities for Regener8 members, please contact us.

The HealthTech and Medicines KTN would like to highlight the Future Health Mission 11, a competition to identify and support the best fast-growing "HealthTech" technology companies in the UK focussed on: e-health & health informatics, personalised medicine, regenerative medicine, assistive technologies, medical technologies and diagnostic technologies.

Drug discovery & development is not included. The top 20 judged UK Healthcare technology companies will travel to San Francisco January 8th - 14th 2011, aligned with the JP Morgan Healthcare Conference, to explore opportunities for growth with key investors, potential partners and customers, media and other stakeholders in Silicon Valley.

The Future Health Mission 11 competition will launch at the Technology Strategy Board's annual Innovation Conference, innovate10 in London on Tuesday 12 October.

Apply today - Deadline Friday 12 November 2010

A short and simple online application process will then remain open until Friday 12 November. Applicant companies will be assessed on their ability to do meaningful business in the US; from setting up office, to finding funding, to extending their network, and developing sustainable transatlantic relationships. The companies will also be assessed on their business viability and the strength of the management team. The final selection will be balanced to form a mix of companies that show the breadth of what the UK has to offer in this space. In a very few cases, some criteria may be relaxed for younger companies presenting particularly innovative ideas.

Future Health Mission 11 is run by Polecat in collaboration with Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe, the Technology Strategy Board, UK Trade & Investment, and other key sponsors.
