Whilst our generic skills appeal to a wide range of industrial sectors, medical devices and healthcare represent a real growth area for us.Specific skills include (a) the development of novel inorganic - glass, ceramic, sol-gel - powders (b) composites (polymer-ceramic; ceramic-ceramic), (c) optimisation of powder processing for subsequent use as coatings or shaped products and (d) surface analysis (chemical, topographical) in support of cleanliness validation, controlled release etc.
