Future Health appoints New Products and Research Manager

Future Health BIOBANK has appointed stem cell researcher Tabasum Farzaneh to the newly created position of New Products and Research Manager.
In her new role, Ms Farzaneh will be responsible for leading the development of new products and services for Future Health as well as managing the company’s involvement in relevant research around the storage and use of adult stem cells.
Ms Farzaneh previously held the position of Research Associate in the Molecular Haematology and Cancer Biology Unit at the Institute of Child Health within University College, London and brings with her some ten years of experience working in molecular biology and stem cell science.
In her most recent role Ms Farzaneh was involved with the culture, purification and manipulation of stem cells including the isolation of stem cells from cord blood. Prior to this, she worked with the Metabolism research group at the University and for the Medical Research Council assessing new inventions in Neuroscience.
Ms Farzaneh gained a PhD in Clinical Pharmacology from University College London in 2007, following an MRes in Biological Sciences and a BSc in Molecular Genetics and has co-authored a number of published, peer reviewed papers. In 2010 she presented data at the International Society for Stem Cell Research meeting in San Francisco.
